Looking past Water Island into Elephant Bay from Honeymoon Bay
We had passed this sign many times in traveling from Honeymoon Bay to Long Bay. When Nathan and Sarah were here we tried to go there but the wait was 2 hours. By chance one night we walked there as the restaurant we had planned on going to was closed. Luck was with us and we got seated right away and had a fabulous dinner. Do you think that is the moon by the palm tree?
We passed this house walking back to the dingy. It has no glass in the windows upstairs. Pretty cool. Kirk commented on the motorcycle in front.
Happy girl !
Dingy's Bar is a popular place. Dingy anyone?
Another view of the bar.
Looking out at Honeymoon Bay from the beach. St Thomas is in the background.
I asked Kirk to take this pic because of the top right hand side. If you can blow it up (click on the pic) and read it you should get a chuckle. Island time.......
I loved this little bridge. Great natural stone work.
We hiked around the island to find the spot where we chartered a boat on our honeymoon 34 1/2 years ago. The foundation is all that is left of the building site. Hurricanes Hugo and Marilyn wiped out the charter business and the hotel that the charter business put us in when hurricane David hit in 1979. A walk down memory lane.
The path down the hill to Dingy's Bar after our hike.
Our friend Peter (on the right with hat on) playing with the band Barefoot Davis. It was a fun afternoon with great music.
I can relate to "Island Time" everyone here in the Keys seems to operate on that! Love that little stone bridge. So pretty!
